Overall

Do you have broad experience in HR and are you ready to help build a strong HR foundation for House of Construction?

For House of Construction, we are looking for an HR Manager who can further shape HR policy with vision and decisiveness. At our company, it’s all about making plans, building with enthusiasm, and always going that extra mile. As HR Manager, you will be the driving force behind our HR policy and ensure that our people can grow along with our ambitions. You will develop the policy and put it into practice, brick by brick.

Who are we?

A challenging position within a fast-growing and innovative company with short lines of communication and a horizontal structure. The opportunity to play a key role in the further growth and development of YOBO Real Estate. Room for personal development and career opportunities within the House of Construction group. House of Construction is a family-owned umbrella company that brings together several specialized companies in the real estate and construction sector. With strong brands such as YOBO Real Estate, Building & Partners, Storebox, and Baltiko, we combine expertise in project development, class 7 contracting, and international labor mobility. Our focus is on high-quality residential projects, innovative construction solutions, and sustainable partnerships. From our home base, we are building the future of urban living in Belgium and beyond.

Our culture? Family-oriented, entrepreneurial, and thoughtfully professional. We take ownership, think in terms of solutions, and do everything we can to help our colleagues and our customers grow.

Your job

As HR Manager, you are the key figure in building a strong HR policy across all entities. Together with the management team, you lay the foundations for a future-oriented HR policy that is aligned with the strategic objectives and ensure that the policy is embedded in our daily operations. You create clear structures while maintaining a warm and human touch. In short: you embody our values — Family, Ownership, Client Focus, and Quality.

What are you going to do:

  • You will develop a clear and structured HR strategy tailored to our growth plans and culture.
  • You will manage areas such as recruitment, onboarding, performance, learning & development, salary policy, and offboarding.
  • Together with our marketing manager, you will build a strong employer brand and a well-thought-out recruitment approach. In addition, you will actively search for candidates and select top candidates who are a perfect fit for our company culture.
  • You will structure and supervise performance and evaluation interviews.
  • You will develop training, growth, and career development programs.
  • You will closely monitor changes in social and labor legislation and regularly check that our existing HR processes and practices are fully compliant with the law.
  • You will develop HR processes and optimize existing systems.
  • You take the initiative to propose, develop, and implement HR projects in consultation with management.
  • You act as a point of contact for employees and managers on various HR-related matters.
  • You develop HR dashboards and support digitization. You use data and reporting to measure and adjust our HR impact.
  • You keep your finger on the pulse in terms of well-being and satisfaction, organize team activities, and translate findings from satisfaction surveys into concrete actions.

Who are you

We are not looking for a ‘traditional HR manager’, but rather a strategic thinker who can also quickly switch to practical tasks. You feel at home in an environment where things are allowed to move forward. You...
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in a broad HR role, preferably in an SME or construction-related environment.
  • Feel comfortable helping to shape and implement policy.
  • Are not afraid to roll up your sleeves: you combine strategic thinking with operational and administrative tasks.
  • Excel in empathy and connecting communication
  • Combine a people-oriented approach with a healthy dose of decisiveness
  • Know your way around social legislation and HR processes from A to Z
  • Feel at home in a culture of direct communication and entrepreneurship
  • Communicate fluently in Dutch and French.

What we offer

A family-like and professional work environment where your impact really counts
  • Plenty of room for initiative, personal input, and entrepreneurship
  • A competitive salary package including fringe benefits tailored to your experience (as an employee/freelancer)
  • Flexible working hours that respect your private life
  • Colleagues who are there for each other and want to move forward together
